About this record
- Supporting evidence
- https://monachus-guardian.org/mguard19/1941letter.htm — Robert Corrington's letter signed 5 April 2007 says the encounter occurred 'yesterday' at Brenneke beach, Kauai. The date 4 April is derived from the signed letter date rather than the June issue date. The firsthand account explicitly counts five Hawaiian monk seals; three still present later are not an additional group.
